Living with a long-term health condition is more than just a physical challenge it's a daily journey that tests not only our bodies but also our minds and spirits. As a clinical hypnotherapist and mindset coach, I fully understand this struggle, for I have navigated the complexities of chronic kidney disease and myositis for over 13 years. My personal journey through the highs and lows of managing these conditions has profoundly shaped my approach to supporting others facing similar battles.

 

In my pursuit for healing and understanding, I discovered the transformative power of hypnotherapy and mindset coaching. My Journey

 

My journey with chronic kidney disease and myositis has been a rollercoaster of physical challenges, emotional turmoil, and spiritual growth. From the moment of diagnosis over a decade ago, I found myself thrust into a world of uncertainty and adjustment.


One of the most significant struggles I faced was the adjustment to the changes my body underwent due to medication. The relentless battle with side effects, coupled with the constant need for medical intervention, left me feeling like a stranger in my own skin.

 

Loss of motivation became a constant frustration for me and the relentless cycle of hospital appointments, medication regimens, and fluctuating health outcomes left me feeling powerless and disheartened. Coming to terms with my condition was also incredibly challenging. I often felt frustrated and resentful toward a medical system that seemed to focus more on managing symptoms rather than addressing the underlying cause.


Facing these obstacles compelled me to confront the harsh reality of coping with chronic illness, accompanied by the unsettling uncertainty it brings. The unpredictability of my health condition became a source of constant anxiety, casting a shadow over even the brightest moments of my life.

 

A pivotal moment occurred when I came across a documentary revealing how changing one's mindset, beliefs, and emotions could facilitate self-healing in the human body. Intrigued by the idea of taking charge of my own health, I immersed myself in exploring holistic living, eager to cultivate a healthier perspective.


On this journey, one undeniable truth stood out to me: the incredible power of our minds to shape our reality! It was this realisation that ultimately led me to the doorstep of hypnotherapy, a practice that offered not just relief from physical symptoms, but a pathway to a healthier perspective and a positive mindset.

 

Now four years into my journey, I have made a conscious decision to not only prioritise my mental health but my physical health too. This shift in perspective has led me to explore new alternative avenues of healing, from establishing new workout routines, discovering natural supplements to analysing the foods I consume.

 

Today, as a practitioner of hypnotherapy and mindset coaching, I am driven by a dual passion to help others navigate health difficulties with compassion and resilience, and to continuously expand my own understanding through the latest findings in neuroscience and psychology. In sharing my story, I hope to inspire others to embrace the inherent power within them to rewrite their own narrative of healing and wholeness.
